Link from non commercial sites - Links from .edu and .org websites are good for increasing your site's rankings and are more important than ever.

Well.. there are so many ways to build backlinks to your site. If you have some $$ to spend you can buy links, buy blog posts from relevant blogs. But, if you are someone like me, who don't want to spend money for backlinks, all you have to do is concentrate on the content. Try to post Quality content.. and unique content. Quality is important than Quantity here And there are so many ways to advertise your content for Free like Social Bookmarking, Forum posting,etc.
Also, I find the best way to build link is to enter your desired keyword into Google and analyse the top ten URLs. Find out where their links are coming from and place your link there. Simple!

To my opinion Directory Submission is the best one of all tactics in link building. Because we can get quality permanent backlinks, ofcourse it takes some time for approval. Next to Directory Submission I vote to Social book marking which gives instant traffic to the website.

one way is to post on pages like the one here where you already have a link :-) .. Fast ways to do link building are generally submitting to directories, forums and social media bookmarking sites, other ways that may be a little more work is to write an article or press release and submit it to press release sites you can literally get hundreds of backlinks from a couple articles. I do forum commenting, blog commenting, social bookmarking, and articles for getting better ranks. I think these are the best methods.
